Lee's Hill Golfers Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Lee's Hill Golfers Club first opened for play in 1994. The par-72 course was designed by Bill Love.
The Bill Love designed championship course winds throughout authentic civil war battle trenches and the actual 1862 campsite of General Robert E. Lee and his troops. The trenches that border the perimeter of the course are historical landmarks left over from Robert E. Lee's entrenched battle to save the Confederate Capitol of Richmond following the battle of Fredricksburg.
This course, provides generous landing areas on its fairways, but most holes are tree lined. The terrain is gently rolling, yet there are severe mounds that can cause uneven lies. The somewhat sloped greens are medium in size and speed, and putt. The signature hole is #14, a 150-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to the green.

I like the layout of this course. There are some short holes, but they're not wide open. We play from the white tees. Watch out for poison ivy if you hit in the woods. But, the fairways are a good width. So, you shouldn't find the woods unless you hit a pretty bad shot. I used a discount coupon, so my fees were less than the normal rate.

One of my favorites in the area. New owners (last year) seem to be spending lots of money to get the course in great condition. The greens are top drawer.

A new owner took over in Dec 2007 and the changes have been dramatic. Two things standout as significant improvements; staff attitude and condition of the course. It is beginning one of those "best kept secrets"

Our group of travelling seniors played here October 17, 2017 en route our annual Williamsburg golf trip. Very nice course, with great visuals. No houses on the course! However, we got lost a few times because cart paths criss-cross, and directional signage is weak. This is exacerbated by the lack of course diagram on the scorecard; silly, but annoying. Should be a cheap fix. We were somewhat flummoxed by our first encounter with Bermuda-grass rough, which we don't see in MD. This stuff is STICKY and gnarly. First-timers, beware! Overall, we liked Lee's Hill: nice layout, nice people. We recommend!
